What is Turnitin?
Turnitin is an online plagiarism detection tool. Turnitin accounts can be set up so faculty and staff members can submit papers themselves or so students can submit papers for a particular course and assignment.
Who can request a Turnitin account?
The University has purchased a site license that allows Mason faculty and staff to receive accounts.
How can a Turnitin account be requested?
Requests for accounts should be emailed to Susan Campbell, the Turnitin Administrator for Mason at scampbel@gmu.edu by the Mason faculty or staff member.
How much time will it take for the account creation?
The account will be created and emailed to the faculty or staff member via Mason email within 48 hours (excluding weekends and holidays).
