Blogs (or weB LOGS) are easy to create and maintain HTML journals. According to Blogger.com: "A blog is a personal diary. A daily pulpit. A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Your own private thoughts. Memos to the world." Blogs are becoming increasingly popular in instruction as a way for students to dialogue, collaborate, and organize.

Former Mason professor Virginia Montecino developed a comprehensive site about blogs and blog-related terms. You can find this at http://mason.gmu.edu/~montecin/blog.html.

The Instructional Resource Center has a blog about blogs. Take a look at it at http://ircweblog.blogspot.com/2005/04/teaching-blogs.html
