Book orders should be placed with Stacey as soon as possible. Fall book orders that come in by mid-July are most likely not to experience delays. Please email Stacey (sremicks@gmu.edu) with the course number, bibliographic information, ISBN (the 13-digit number if you have it -- check Amazon.com), and any desk copy requests.
As you may know, we don't designate either a text or a syllabus as a requirement for teachers here. We do have a fair selection of texts on hand in the Writing Center (Robinson A114, M-Th 11-7 and Fridays 11-3), and in the Composition Library (any of the office staff can give you a key to the conference room if you'd like to browse the Composition Library), but these are just a collection, not particularly "recommended" texts.
Obtaining Desk Copies
A list of textbook publishers' websites and the publishers' representatives for Composition texts is available here. Our publishers' representatives are also listed with their email address. The Composition Program and the English Department do not endorse any particular company or text.
