Selective withdrawals allow a student to drop a course after the drop deadline. These withdrawals must take place within the selective withdrawal time frame listed each semester on the academic calendar. Students have a maximum of three selective withdrawals to use throughout their undergraduate academic career.
Because ENGL 100/101 awards the grade of NC, students should not pursue a selective withdrawal for these courses.
For further information about university policy regarding the selective withdrawal process, visit the "Selective Withdrawal for Undergraduates" section of the Undergraduate Policies page, located in the Academic Policies section of the University Catalog.
