Academic Prerequisites

To be eligible to submit a portfolio, you must first meet all of the following prerequisites:

• 30 credit hours (to include all transfer credit hours)
• Minimum cumulative Mason GPA of 3.0
• Completion of ENGH 100 or ENGH 101, or equivalent transferred course, or exemption (that is, students who have taken our ENGH 101 exemption exam, or have been exempted via AP or other test score, or have completed an AA degree from a Virginia Community College and thus are considered by the university to no longer need ENGH 101, are eligible to submit a 302 portfolio).
• Completion of Mason Core literature requirements for your major.

Note: If you have previously attempted ENGH 302 (even if you withdrew from the course), you are not eligible to submit a portfolio.
