Spanish Heritage Language Education Graduate Certificate Program Announces Online Lecture Series

In conjunction with the launch of the Graduate Certificate in Spanish Heritage Language Education, the Department of Modern and Classical Languages is pleased to announce a new online lecture series.

For the 2021-2022 academic year we are thrilled to host four experts in Spanish heritage language education, critical pedagogies, and antiracist approaches to language education. Topics to be addressed include the role of language in racialization in educational contexts, community-based and engaged curricula, the contributions of AfroLatinx intellectuals, and critical approaches to heritage speaker writing instruction.

All lectures are free and open to the public but advance registration is required.  Visit the SHLE online lecture series page to register for each lecture.
