First year composition, teacher development, scholarship of teaching and learning

Lisa Lister won a University Teaching Excellence Award with special acknowledgment for her contributions to General Education at Mason in 2012. Since then, she’s served as a Faculty Fellow for CTFE, as a member of the Provost’s Active Learning Community, and as the chair of the English Department's Term Faculty Committee. As the Associate Director of Composition, she administers Mason’s English 101 courses, supports 101 faculty, and runs the professional development program for new teaching TAs. She is passionate about advocating for term faculty and addressing contingent faculty's pervasive labor issues. Her research focus is professional development for teachers and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
